I'm basically a unicorn.
No, really. I am. Why? Because I've just about worn every hat in the wedding industry that there is available. I've photographed weddings (many on film), I've designed and made wedding dresses, I've catered, I've coordinated. All of this to say, I've been to a lot of weddings and my favorite are the the small, intimate ones. Bear with me. To me, small means that there is more connection, more DIY, less pomp and more circumstance, more love story and more of those who love a love story. I've never left a small wedding that I've photographed without feeling gratitude that I've been witness to something very special.
And that’s just my wedding experience. Because I went for school for photography in the 90s and have been shooting for a long time, I've covered all of the photography genres. My style slants to more instinctual, less contrived, more observational, less static, more editorial, less headshot.
For portraiture, senior and personal branding:
When you inquire about a shoot, I offer a consultation via phone, Zoom or in-person. We’ll go over goals, aesthetic, wardrobe, location (I’ll scout when necessary) and pricing. This part of the shoot is just as important as the shoot itself because I want you to walk away with images that align with your vision. I even love to make Pinterest boards with my clients to ensure that this is a true collaboration. But then, I’ll take over with my 25 years of experience as a photographer. I’ll put you in the best light and pose and I carefully edit every image you will see. I’ll show you a password protected sneak peek gallery here on my site within a week so you can start to find your favorites and within two weeks of the shoot, we’ll schedule another Zoom call for the final reveal consultation where you will choose your package. All high-res images are then delivered as a downloadable gallery (flashdrives can be mailed upon request).
For weddings:
All of the pre-shoot steps are the same as above. Pricing is determined by size and length of wedding (outlined below). I also make a password protected sneak peek gallery, but it takes around two weeks. The final high-res image downloadable gallery is delivered around four weeks after the wedding (and up to four flashdrives can be mailed upon request). All images are carefully edited with minimal retouch and the final gallery is usually between 200 and 400 images. I do not currently offer print albums but can recommend labs.
For restaurant photography:
For restaurants that would like ongoing fresh content for social media, this $1000/mo. package will include three one hour shoots per month, 7-10 images per shoot. Edited photos will be downloadable from a phone. Think weekly specials, environmental portraiture, process shots, interior/exterior of restaurant. For an additional $200 a month, I can do the social media management for you, including uploading daily to your preferred social media channel and writing copy in your voice. This service is billed the 1st of every month until cancelled in writing.
All other restaurant inquiries are priced upon request.
Event photography pricing upon request.

A few more FAQ's.
Digital packages for personal branding and portraiture start at $1150. A 50% non-refundable deposit ($500) is required at the time of booking and is applied towards your digital package.
Personal branding and portraiture sessions are revealed two weeks after the shoot via in person or Zoom. This is the fun part! Here you can apply your deposit ($500) to the digital package of your choice.
Wedding packages start at $1500 for a Tiny wedding (3 hours, 10 guests or less), $3000 for an Intimate wedding (6 hours, 50 guests or less) . A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking and remainder is due one week before the wedding. Cancellations made 4 weeks prior to wedding date will receive deposit refund, cancellations made after that date, the deposit is non-refundable. I confidently take jobs I feel I can cover alone, however, if you think you need a second shooter, I have a list of competent photographers that I work with and would be happy to add. Talk to me if you feel you need a second shooter.
A small password protected gallery will be provided here to share with family and friends two weeks after the wedding. The full set is delivered four weeks (or less) after the wedding via downloadable gallery and/or flashdrives (up to 4, just let me know your needs) sent through the mail.
All photos are meticulously edited by me per my style and that is not up for direction. I went to school for photography and over the last 25 years, I’ve carefully honed my craft. That being said, I welcome your input prior and during the shoot. I feel that part is a co-creation.
Sondra Primeaux Photography will never use your images for commercial use (unless otherwise agreed upon), however, I exercise the right to use images for self-promotion (on this site and in social media) at my discretion unless previously determined and agreed upon. Please express any concerns you have about photo rights and intent before the shoot. All clients are asked to sign a photo release.
